LOCATION
The Residenza AURORA is located at the Municipality of Biassono, Province of Monza and Brianza, in Via Toscana, a few minutes from the Park of Monza’s entry, which is the largest enclosed park all over Europe. It’s also closed to main municipal services, such as the transport line public 221, which connects Biassono to the center of Monza and its train station, and to the Milan subway terminal, where you can also quickly reach the center of Milan or its entire hinterland.
The area on which it is located is inserted in the new urban park, which allows pleasant walks, while children can have fun in the equipped play area, which is located at the vast pedestrian square around various arisen prestigious residential complexes.
THE PROJECT
The Residenza AURORA is characterized by careful bioclimatic design which is aimed at the natural contribution of heat and luminosity to the entire housing value; the proposed discontinuous roof that is conceived by an important single-sided south-facing side, which constitutes a perfect base for the photovoltaic panels and a consequent excellent energy yield.
The complex consists of 1 compact factory building with overall 6 apartments, including 2 on the ground floor with private garden. The building has got two floors above ground, which are intended per each apartment, and a basement for boxes, cellars and condominium service areas. There are only two apartments per each floor with the view on the three sides: east-north-west, and east-south-west. This includes the living area with double exposure to ensure not only the maximum irradiation bright, but also a good response to the natural air.
Each apartment on the ground floor holds a large opened porch to its own private garden. While on the upper floors there are terraces with the same size. All of them face east and west. Both arcades and the terraces the living and cooking areas in order to guarantee an optimal usability towards outdoor spaces. Moreover, the interior spaces’ distribution allows a high functional flexibility to the users. Thus, this would satisfy a vast heterogeneity of needs.
Furthermore, special horizontal and vertical sunshades will be positioned on the south and on the west sides in correspondence of bedrooms to mitigate the internal solar radiation during the hot summer days’ central hours. Therefore, this system would maintain more pleasant temperatures during the day and facilitate cooling natural during evening hours. This is essential to increase the quality of rest due to the low temperature which guarantees the rest and allows pleasant hours of sleep.
ARCHETIPO is constantly working hard to achieve the quality of life and respect for the environment. These represent the main Aurora Residence’s design characteristics. This kind of construction has been chosen due to the casing-system, which let us get high energetic performance by placing the building in Energetic Class A4. Consequently, this would guarantee the reduction of consumption and CO2 emissions and so, this would generate high standards of energy-saving and living comfort, according to the national and European legislation Nearly Zero Energy Building. This is important to achieve everyday ever greater levels of perceived wellness.
